North Bay Resources Commences Operations at Bishop Gold Mill, Inyo County, California; Engages Sabean Group Management Consulting

On September 25, the company announced that the first gold ore shipment from its Fran Gold Project had arrived and test milling operations had also commenced. In the news release, North Bay Resources stated that the optimization and testing of milling for the extraction of gold from the ore was to begin yesterday.

In the first phase, the company would test the jaw crusher that would reduce the ore to half an inch so as to feed it into the ball mill. In the ball mill, it would be reduced to minus 150 mesh and then transported to a gravity separation table for extraction of gold as well as other precious metals.

Following that phase, there would be testing and optimization of the flotation cells as well as a reagent formulation. The concluding phase of the process would consist of upgrading the flotation concentrate by deploying a 2nd gravity tailing and reports to tailings. The extracted gold and the other precious metals extracted from the ore would be melted at a furnace for converting the same into Dore bars.
