Uber Pairs With Scriptdrop To Expand Prescription Delivery

Taking e-pharmacy to the next level, Uber (NYSE:UBER) joins hands with ScriptDrop to deliver medications to consumers. All those pharmacies that will be using ScriptDrop for a prescription will get medications at their doorstep by Uber. In other words, for ScriptDrop pharmacies that currently operate in 37 states, including California, Florida, and New York, Uber will be their delivery service provider. This partnership will facilitate Uber in providing swift service to its customers and will also aid it in expanding its footprints.

The merge is one of Uber’s novel goals of its commitment to craft scalable and flexible delivery service. This service that will empower pharmacies to offer patients’ prescription deliveries will enable more patients (like remote patients) to avail medications at their doorsteps.

The Tool

Backed by cutting-edge technology, which enables the tool integrate with any organizational software used by pharmacies easily, the tool also enables both patients and the service provider to track prescriptions. This swift service reduces the prescription abandonment for pharmacies, thereby improving the health service for the patients and pharmacies. Besides facilitating pharmacies and the patients in getting swift service, this partnership will also create delivery jobs. Ergo, creating a win-win situation for all the stakeholders.

The Merge

ScriptDrop has signed up with pharmacies, and also with leading U.S’s leading grocery chains, pharmacy chains, and health systems like Albertsons, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, and Vons, will now utilize Uber’s service to provide more service to patients as well as its partners swiftly and in a novel way. The domestic pharmacies will provide service to patients anytime & anywhere, thanks to Uber that has a presence across the U.S.

Last year in April, Uber Health, Uber’s nonemergency medical transportation service, hinted to move ahead of food & grocery add-on delivery services and offer on-demand & scheduled delivery service. And Uber started this novel mission when it launched prescription delivery solutions in August in select US cities (Seattle & Dallas, later it added Austin, Houston & New York to the list) through the Uber Eats app coupled with NimbleRx.
