BGC Partners Inc (NASDAQ:BGCP) Stocks Falls 14% in a Month: A Good Opportunity?

It has not been a great few weeks for the stock of the international brokerage and fintech firm BGC Partners Inc (NASDAQ:BGCP). Over the course of the past month, the stock has suffered from a steady selloff and during that period, it has declined by as much as 14%.

Earlier on in the week the company announced the specific details with regards to conference call for its financial results for the second fiscal quarter of 2021. BGC partners announced that the conference call is going to take place on August 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

In addition to that, the company went on to note that it is also going to send out an advisory press release with regards to the availability of the second quarter results at 8 in the morning on the same day.

In that same advisory, it is also going to be mentioned that the full text of the financial results is going to be made available on the company’s website. It goes without saying that after a month of struggle, the announcement of its financial results could actually prove to be a pivotal day for the BGC Partners stock. Investors could do well to keep an eye on the stock in the lead up to the conference call.

Market Reaction:

On Thursday, BGCP stock fell 1% at $5.45 with more than 1.86 million shares, compared to its average volume of 3.99 million shares. The stock had moved within a range of $5.34 – 5.55 after opening the trade at $5.41. Over the past 52-week, the stock has been trading within a range of $2.22 – 6.52.
