Aduro Clean Technologies (OTCMKTS:ACTHF) Signs LOI for Pilot Plant and Waste Plastic Feedstock Supply
Canadian developer of patented water-based technologies, Aduro Clean Technologies (OTCMKTS:ACTHF), on March 30, 2022, announced entering into a Letter of Intent with Switch Energy Corp to develop, build and supply a pre-commercial pilot plant for converting waste agricultural polyethylene into high-value products.

Aduro Clean is engaged in transforming heavy crude and renewable oils into higher-value fuels and new-era resources. Switch Energy is a recycler and operator engaged in Canada’s agricultural & industrial film recycling program by operating the biggest collection program for agricultural waste in Ontario. It has over 10 years of experience in collecting Agri waste, designing, and developing plastic washing as well as product offtake sales and marketing, ensuring it is perfect for the pilot plant.
Aduro’s novel process supports circular economy and zero waste model. The pilot aims to commence with waste polyethylene from agricultural waste. It will be followed by polypropylene and demonstrate the technological benefits of processing waste polystyrene.
Don Nott, founder, and chief executive officer of Switch Energy expressed excitement about the performance of the Aduro solution. Nott added that the technology is multifaceted for processing other kinds of waste plastics, making it the perfect solution for agricultural waste. The CEO feels that this would be the way ahead in the sector.
Ofer Vicus, chief executive officer of Aduro said that the company is ahead in its plans for building a pre-commercial pilot. Vicus added that working with Switch would help the company understand collection systems, material handling, and washing.
