Agraflora Organics International Inc (OTCMKTS:AGFAF) expects to commence the first harvest in Q4 2020 from its Delta Facility and sell high potency and economic cannabis strains in Q1 2021.
Produces 44 varieties of cannabis strains
The company tailored Elite Genetics at its Delta Facility to work with the PSC’s cultivation program and genetics and yield 44 varieties of cannabis strains. Agraflora could offer these strains, which maintain high terpene and cannabinoid content, to its wholesale customers.
Transitioning to cannabis from tomato
General Manager (Houweling Nurseries), Ruben Howeling said the company is transitioning to cannabis from tomato cultivation. It achieved success in its efforts and maintaining healthy plants this summer. The company will commence first flowering this fall.
The 2.2 million Sq. Ft. space at Delta Facility supports cannabis cultivation. In Phase 1, 422,828 Sq. Ft. of space at this facility would use semi-open and pressurized Venlo greenhouse design for cannabis production.
Salient features of Delta Greenhouse
The fully integrated site operates on natural gas. It is equipped with advanced humidity and climate control facilities. Stable climatic conditions are maintained at this site using energy-efficient air exchange. To maintain optimum illumination, the company uses natural sunlight. It uses Ebb-and-flow watering systems for irrigation and water treatment.
Receives CRA tax license
Agraflora received a CRA tax license and engaged in developing cannabis edible products at its R&D Lab, approved by Health Canada, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The company developed gelatin gummies, sugar-free variants, hard candy, and cannabis activated pectin using an R&D license offered by Health Canada. It offers a variety of test samples for its clients to try in their established brands.
Applies for processing license
Agraflora applied for a processing license from Health Canada on May 28, 2020. It expects to receive a processing license in Q4 2020.
Produces 1,000 kg of CBD crude oil
Agraflora’s auxiliary – SGSC (Sustainable Growth Strategic Capital Corp), in alliance with MicroC45, manufactured 1,000 kg of cannabidiol crude oil and distillate for immediate sale. The company used 10,000 kg of hemp biomass to produce CBD oil. It also holds an additional 10,000 kg of hemp biomass for processing and extraction.
SGSC is also working to produce CBD isolate by refining CBD oil. It expects to maintain an inventory of more than 850 kg of CBD isolate on achieving full conversion.
