American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCMKTS: ABML) Granted Condition Use Permit For Its Battery Recycling Plant In Fernley
American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCMKTS: ABML) has received approval from Fernley City Council for Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a future lithium-ion battery recycling plant.
American Battery metals receive CUP from Fernley City Council.
With this recent approval, the company is now a step closer to obtaining the necessary permits and building its first-of-its-kind lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Fernley, Nevada. The City of Fernley Planning Commission unanimously authorized the CUP earlier this month.
Doug Cole, the company’s CEO, said that with the approval of the Conditional Use Permit by the Fernley City Council, They are a step closer to building a ground-breaking lithium-ion battery recycling pilot plant. Cole said that the pilot facility would create new opportunities, boost Fernley’s economy, and provide a long-term solution to improve and safeguard the domestic battery metals supply.
The CUP process in Fernley ensures that the pilot plant will meet all of the city’s Comprehensive Master Plan requirements, which protects the environment. The Comprehensive Master Plan safeguards the safety, public health, and general welfare through provision of safeguards in the area and design of certain uses in some zoning districts.”
ABTC use cleantech to recycle batteries
Through novel extraction technologies, the battery recycling pilot plant will directly support a local supply of high-quality battery metals. The firm’s technology platform is unique in that it does not release pollutants into the air and reduces water contamination. The company has developed cleantech that improves primary metals production. The whole recycling plant will comprise three functional building sections with a total floor size of 98,789.4 square feet once completed. An office building with laboratories, a production building, and a warehouse are among the three functional building spaces.
