AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) Offers A Prepaid Plan For $25 Per Month Than Unlimited Data Plan
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is offering a prepaid data plan at $25 per month for those that don’t need unlimited data but one has to pay the full year in advances which will be around $300.
AT&T Prepaid less expensive than the unlimited plan
This will be much less expensive than what the carrier charges for the basic unlimited plan. For instance, Mint Mobile has been offering customers low rates on condition one buys the service in bulk prepaying for three months to 12 months. For instance, for $240 you can buy 12 months of the 8GB plan.
The plans spotted over a little year ago and nothing has changed. Despite not being advertised anywhere it still predominantly appears on the company’s home page in the prepaid section. Most importantly, it is an online-only offer and if you visit an AT&T store expecting to sign up for the offer it could be possible the sales agents won’t even be aware of the plan.
Prepaid plan with a rollover option
The plan offers unlimited talk and text beyond the US into Mexico and Canada. This is unlike Mint Mobile which allows you to call these countries but when you call from within it will cost an extra amount. In addition to that, you also get 8GB data but it is unclear whether 5G is part of it and your unused data can be rolled over for one month. The rollover and Mexico/Canada benefits offer AT&T an edge over Mint Mobile and for some consumers, the big appeal will be the company’s network. Notably, depending on where one lives it might be a better option compared to T-Mobile which mint uses.
Consumers that want to capitalize on this deal can use an unlocked phone or buy one that is compatible with the network. You will only pay $4.99 for a SIM card and around $300 for the plan not including fees and taxes. But this could add $30 to $40 to your spending since it is for 12 months and not just one.
