If you are currently looking into stocks that made significant gains yesterday, then it may be difficult to look past the BloomZ Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMZ) stock, which delivered gains of 87% for the day.

BloomZ Selected as the Primary Animation Production Contractor for an Upcoming Animation Project

On October 9, the Japan-based anime-based audio production, general production, and voice actor management company announced that it had successfully landed the primary production animation contract for an animation project. The project in question is “Kakushite! Makina-san!,” and it had been scheduled for airing at some point in 2025.

Additional Rights

While becoming the primary animation production contractor was a significant development for BloomZ, the company also got some additional rights thanks to the agreement. The company would get the neighboring rights as well as ownership of the opening music master recording. Other rights include overseas rights, commercialization rights, and digital content rights.

The digital content rights would also include the company’s right to create digital games. The overseas rights would also include television broadcasting rights, videogame rights, theatrical distribution rights, and all conceivable rights for using the animation in international markets. In the news release, the company also announced that following the new launch, BloomZ also aimed to make an effort to make a fully-fledged entry into the animation production space and emerge as an animation production contractor.

CEO Quote

“I am pleased to announce we have been selected as the primary animation production contractor for the upcoming animation project, “Kakushite! Makina-san!” said BloomZ’s CEO, Kazusa Aranami. “The acquisition of certain rights to this project represents a significant milestone in our animation production business and presents a growth opportunity that we expect will further diversify our revenue streams. With recent cooperations with CrossVision Inc. and Sonilude Inc., we aim to pursue similar collaborations to strengthen our development capabilities and expand our portfolio of animation projects. Set to air in 2025, “Kakushite! Makina-san!” has already generated fans and media’s interest in it ahead of its broadcast since its announcement in May 2024, and we look forward to the potential revenue that may be generated by its commercialization and event development in the near future.”
