New Wave Holdings Corp (OTCMKTS:TRMNF) Inks Drug development Pact in Jamaica

New Wave Holdings Corp (OTCMKTS:TRMNF) has inked a strategic partnership with the University of West Indies Mona Jamaica. Under the terms of the agreement, the two are to conduct joint drug discovery and highlight medicinal plants’ knowledge in Jamaica.

New Wave-UWI Pact

The two plan to research and develop therapeutic drugs and natural health products from local plants and fungi. They are also to pursue commercial activities that can exploit patents and other research results concerning local biodiversity. The two should also advance knowledge of medicinal plants in Jamaica while also increasing awareness of medicinal plant health.

Likewise, New Wave Holdings is to provide all the required capital resources and further support required in the drug discovery program. The University of West Indies, on its part, is to undertake research operations and further develop various components and compounds in early drug discovery.

The focus will be on plants and fungi that show significant results in areas of cancerous properties, inflammation, and hypercholesterolemia. Both are to work together, whereby UWI provides research services while the new wave provides any funding needed.

E-Commerce Ambitions

Separately N2 Logic, a digital marketing company that New Wave Holdings intends to acquire, has launched a new e-commerce website. The marketplace will act as a marketplace for all new wave products. It will also feature a host of products and information through the likes of a blog. The site will host various health and wellness products and offer new and advanced products and services.

The unveiling of an e-commerce site does not come as a surprise. Customers’ shopping patterns have changed significantly in the aftermath of the pandemic. People are increasingly shying away from brick and mortar stores on fear of contracting the deadly virus. Likewise, online shopping has become the new trend given the minimum human interaction involved.
