Pressure BioSciences Inc. (OTC:PBIO) Stock On Watchlist After Major News

Investors who are on the lookout for innovative companies at this point may consider taking a look into Pressure BioSciences Inc. (OTC:PBIO). The company is involved in the development of pressure-based instruments, which could be deployed in a wide range of industries.

On December 12, the company announced that there had been publication of a key scientific study in the food safety space that featured Pressure BioSciences’ Ultra Shear Technology platform. The article, titled “Synergistic Effects of Pressure, Temperature, Shear, and Their Interactions on Clostridium sporogenes PA3679 Spore Inactivation During Ultra-Shear Processing,” was published in the peer-reviewed Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies journal.

The company revealed that the article had been a collaborative effort. It involved the expertise of scientists from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University. The Senior Vice President of Engineering at Pressure BioSciences, Dr. Edmund Y. Ting, was the co-author. The article went into details about the effectiveness of the company’s path-breaking Ultra Shear Technology platform in promoting food safety, stability, and preservation.

Pressure BioSciences’ Dr. Ting spoke about ultra-shear technology as well. He noted that over the years, the food industry has been looking for effective ways to ensure high food safety while minimizing the lowest possible reduction in the sensory and nutritional attributes of the food. He went on to state that the Ultra Shear Technology platform had the capability of providing destruction of bacteria and bacterial spores.

That would enable the manufacturing of customer-friendly and shelf-stable liquid foods that could be manufactured without adding high-heat processing techniques or chemical additives. Additionally, the authors also wrote at length about the relevance of the results for the food industry at large. It remains to be seen if the Pressure BioSciences stock comes into focus today or not.
